have I mentioned that I am terrible at blogging?

because I am... really.

Anyway, I have been a married woman now for a little over 9 weeks and I must say it has been lovely. :-)

B and I are finally kind of getting into a routine with life in Mass. after the wedding and honeymoon and then all the name change paperwork and visits to the bank and SSA etc...

We cooked our very first thanksgiving meal including a whole turkey - a lot of work but it basically all turned out ok :-). We managed to get about 5 days off at Christmas so we were able to go home and see our families and have some nice relaxing time back in Indiana.  It was fun to celebrate our first married Christmas season and we even got a Christmas tree and stockings for our place so we are prepared for many Christmases to come on the decorating front.

I just love the holiday season :-) it was sad today but I had to start taking down the decorations... I just always think the house looks so sad after being all lit up for a month.  I hate January and February typically for just that reason... Still winter but no prettiness... Fortunately B and I have some things to look forward to to break up the monotony.  I will be heading to San Fran in about a week for a conference and then a couple days after I get back we leave for a four day weekend in Chicago.  I'm pretty excited about both but the Chicago trip will be packed with fun stuff like a cooking class and a hawks game.

So overall, B and I are doing well, work is decent for both do us and we are loving our married life. Looking forward to 2014 and all it holds for us.
